joangrasso@rcn.comPatient was a frail, 82 year old female suffering from Dementia/Alzheimer's disease. Services with Griswold Special Care Inc. began in June 2005. Patient's cognitive impairment entered into pre-stage death in late February 2006. On March 7, 2006 patient's family contracted HCR Manor Care - Heartland Hospice of Philadelphia, PA in order to provide death with dignity in the security of her own home. Amelia Harris of Griswold provided the direct live-in care. The family was not properly informed by Roz Kilgore or Joan Grasso that Amelia Harris was allowing the patient's home to deteriorate. Neglect and malfeasance by Joan Grasso, Roz Kilgore and Amelia Harris was characterized by improper diapering procedures that resulted in urine enlaiden carpeting that stank like a kennel. Patient's family discovered this upon arrival on June 3, 2006. It was also discovered that plumbing, wiring, utilities and kitchen appliances were in shambles. There was rotting food inside the refrigerator, filth on every surface and counter-top and a carpeted home that was never vacuumed. Patient's monthly food deliveries totaled greater than $200 a month via http://www.acmemarkets.com/ . Patient's family quickly discovered on arrival that Amelia Harris, Griswold Caregiver, was consuming, wasting and stealing from these expensive merchandise orders.

Patient's family contacted Roz Kilgore, Griswold Case Coordinator (610-645-5567) demanding her presence for a home inspection. Roz Kilgore arrived in the early evening on Saturday, June 3, 2006. Upon arrival, patient's family reminded Roz Kilgore of the set of "white gloves" she had stashed on the shelf in the hall closet, the year before, with her assurance that "white glove inspections" were in fact Griswold's protocol.Amelia Harris had conveniently planned her escape by telling Griswold on Saturday, June 3, 2006 that her husband was "in a car accident" and that she had to leave right away. Becky, Griswold's replacement, who greeted us on arrival, pointed out that Amelia Harris took all her personal affects with her; minus the "booty bag" the patient's family found wedged between the mattress and box spring of Ms. Harris' bed.
Becky remained over until Monday, June 5, 2006 when Joan Grasso then hit the patient's family with an abrupt 24 hour cancellation notice:
Griswold Special Care Inc. also committed insurance fraud throughout the entire period of service due to the billing arrangement Griswold management has masterminded via Griswold's wholly owned subsidiary:
Financial Health Services Inc.
717 Bethlehem Pike, Suite 120
Erdenheim, PA 19038Financial Health Services (FHS) bilked $30.00 a day in hidden costs associated with "filing paperwork" under Griswold's monthly insurance claims, which totaled greater than $10,000 per year in excess costs just for filing the paperwork with the insurance companies!
That's incredible insurance fraud!
When all tolled, this "fleecing" of at-home long term home health care insurance policies, by Griswold's Financial Health Services to file paperwork, results in thousands per year in fraudulent charges, thereby substantially escalating the cost of health care for the elderly.

(She-Devil)Read LORI ROSENQUIST GRISWOLD's outrageous (predatory) commentary seeking to undermine Pennsylvania's newest Proposed Regulations for Home Care Agencies and Home Care Registries, thereby further placing patient safety at risk.
Title 28. Health and Safety Part IV. Health Facilities Subpart H. Home Care Agencies and Home Care Registries:
Lori Griswold's "lobbying" efforts include:
1.) Refusal to test Griswold's "contractor status" Home Health Aide employees
to ensure they are free from serious communicable diseases.
2.) Refusal to be responsible for any "home management".
3.) Refusal to disclose Griswold's records for state inspection purposes.§611.56. Health evaluations.
(1) Hepatitis A.
(2) Salmonella.
(3) Shigolla.
(4) Shiga toxin producing Esoherichia ooli.
(5) Symptom caused by illness, infection or other source when the
symptom is associated with gastro intestinal illness such as
diarrhea, fever, vomiting, jaundice or, sore throat with fever."—We believe it is important to obtain health screens prior to referral to
consumers. However, to request a health care professional to screen for all the
items listed in 1-5 is burdensome and costly. Besides, health care professionals
are not going to easily grant such a request on a regular basis. In addition,
from our experience, health care professionals state that it is not necessary to
get annual health screens unless a direct care worker tests positive for tb or
another communicable disease."§ 611.55. Training requirements.
"—What is home management? Not defined and potentially problematic."
§ 611.31. Inspections.
"—The Department may want to have more flexibility rather than be bound to
have an inspection. The stricken items listed in (2) are beyond the scope of the
statute and rules for home care."LORI ROSENQUIST GRISWOLD, Ph.D., M.S.G. Griswold Executive Vice President
